GRAMMY-winning band brings the bayou to the beltway with vibrant blues-rock and rollicking zydeco dance.
The band released 2 albums in 2009. The first, Lay Your Burden Down, won a GRAMMY Award for Best Cajun and Zydeco Album. Later that year they released a greatest hits album, Essential Recordings: Let the Good Times Roll.
On July 4, 1998 Buckwheat Zydeco performed with the Boston Pops for a 25th anniversary concert. More than 500,000 patrons sang along as the band played 3 songs specially arranged for them and the full orchestra. The concert was televised live on the A&E network.
