March 23rd & 24th, 2012 Find your National Treasure in the Nation's Capital The Fairfax Genealogical Society invites you to 'mark your calendar' for our expanded annual conference, "Find your National Treasure in the Nation's Capital". This major event will be 22-24 March 2012 at the Marriott Fair Oaks Mall, 11787 Lee Jackson Highway, Fairfax, VA 22033.
This year we have significantly expanded the conference from what we have offered in the past.
Our Thursday evening general meeting serves a lead in to the conference, while our Friday offerings expand from two afternoon/evening lectures to three full four-lecture tracks. Saturday adds two four-lecture tracks to the four previously offered for a total of six.
Over all, there are now nine tracks plus the Thursday evening presentation. We have retained our Friday consultations, the Friday and Saturday mealtime mini-lectures and the ever-popular vendor hall. Tracks include:
Of special interest is that our signature track "National Treasure in the Nation's Capital" will consist of two-days and track of eight lectures on research in Washinton, DC. This, along with "Advanced Critical Thinking Techniques" will be our signature events for the "Find your National Treasure in the Nation's Capital" event.
